For the last 10 years or so, my parents have had this obsession with buying me coats. Every year without fail my mum or my dad would buy me a coat. Despite me telling them to stop buying me so many coats – they keep on buying. It isn’t just me either who is a victim, Richard is as well. For as long as we been together they been buying him coats. Seriously, with the amount of coats we collectively combined, we could open a shop. I know my parents mean well but seriously they need to stop, I seriously don’t need any more coats/jackets. I invested last year on a H&M Parka jacket and it have been a worthwhile investment, truthfully it the only jacket I really need. So why oh why do I have another coat?
Which bring me to my point, yup I have another new coat. My parents brought it for me at the weekend, ”It will keep you warm when it get cold” they told me forcefully. I failed to mention that with this weather, I doubt it. However I accepted it as I’m in two mind whether if I like it or not. It isn’t really my style but I sort-off could see the appeal of it. I brought it home and showed it to Richard (who rolled his eyes at having another jacket to put in the wardrobe) and he burst out laughing. He said the coat make me look old – more 40s then 30s. Oh dear that’s a great start, he said that it isn’t really my style and make me look a lot older. But by that point I sort off grown quite fond of it and can see me wear this when I go off to meet a client. My other smart coat smell of sick (don’t ask) so I kind-of need a new professional coat. But I now feel less incline to wear it after hearing Richard comment.
So I’m asking you – yay or nay on this New Look Grey Flecked Longline Bomber Jacket? Would you pick it? Does it make me look old? No doubt this coat will get replaced next year by another coat. Oh my coat/fashion dilemma.
