Now for a girl who has spent the last couple of years complaining about summer – I’m feeling optimistic and down with this summer vibe.
No, I’m serious! I’m actually not a summer Grinch for once and glad its summertime. Of course, I say this now, and with it only being early June, my feeling could change, and I could very well end up being a summer Grinch.
So while I’m in an optimistic, happy mood with summer, I, of course, want to make the most of it. I want to enjoy the long light evening, take the time to catch say ray and generally go out and enjoy myself.
Here are 5 ways how I’m planning on making the most of the summer. I would love to know how you are planning on making the most of summer in the comment down below. Are you going away – if so where to and can I come? If not going anywhere, where would you like to go if given a choice and money no object?
Anyway, enough rambling, let get on with the list:
Outdoor swimming:
With the weather being lovely and being the right temperature for the Goldilocks I am, I have been swimming outdoor. Oh my god, it has been glorious. I just love swimming outdoor with the warmth of the sun on your skin and how refreshing the water can be as you are splashing around. So throughout the summer months, I want to make the most of it and to enjoy swimming outdoors.
Go to a spa:
Anyone who knows me will know this isn’t a surprise. I actually got a spa holiday booked in the Autumn which I’m very excited about. But before that, of course, I’m talking about going to a spa during the summer months. I got my eyes on a few spas around London that I want to visit. In my opinion There no better feeling than going to a spa.
Go to a sandy beach:
This something Richard and I want to do. Beaches are made for the summer months- they really are. We want to lie on a sandy beach and hear the wave crashing and the seagulls squawking away. Where we would have ice cream and walk along a pier. Pure bliss.
Spend my evening outside rather than inside:
As I said earlier, I want to enjoy the long light evening and just spend that time outside. I might just go to a pub and sit outside or go to an open air cinema. I might also go on a long walk or perhaps be really boring and just sit in a park eating an ice-cream. I have this feeling where I don’t want to be coop up.
Enjoy my summer clothes:
This isn’t me actually doing anything, but I did a big splurge recently at H&M (spent more money then I care to admit!) and got lots of lovely new summer clothes. So yes, this summer I want to enjoy summer fashion and my new clothes. Summer clothes are just so much more fun to wear; don’t you agree?
That way my list, now I want to hear from you. Tell me all about your summer plans and how you are making the most of these sunny months.
