When I heard that you can make your own Birchbox, I was intrigued. I went along to the Birchbox pop-up shop London.

When I heard that Birchbox has a little pop-up shop in Carnaby Street, London I was excited. As any #bbloggers would be. A chance to make up your own beauty Bichbox without waiting around for the delivery man to arrive.

So I went along to the Birchbox pop-up shop London, on Monday to see for myself. Plus, if I’m honest it gave me an excuse to do some shopping on Oxford Street and to look round Liberty.

The shop itself is quite small and I must admit, I actually walked past it the first time. But once you are inside it’s beautifully decorated with lots of lovely beauty products lining the walls and shelves.

Let me explain to you about the concept of this Bichbox pop-up shop, it really simple as it pretty much works in the same way as the online version.

You are given a gorgeous marble rose gold box, and with that, you are allowed to pick 5 items of beauty products from each category. The beauty products are sample sizes and perfect if you just wanted to try something out or going on holiday and need a pick-me-up.

I will like to say very quickly that, you don’t pay for each beauty products, just for the box, so just pay £15. And you are given the opportunity to have 15% off a subscription box. Which was something I declined as I think my husband would divorce me If I signed up for a beauty subscription box.

The brands on offer are of Benefit, Caudalie, Rituals, Klorane, Bumble and Bumble, and much more.

When I went in to choose my box, I was a little disappointed with the choice of beauty products on offer. There was nothing that caught my eyes or took my fancy. Instead, I tried to be sensible with my choice and choose something which I could use for my travels.  For me, I wasn’t interested in lipstick or foundation, as I very rarely wear it. But as I had to choose something from each category so I did pick up a blending sponge, which I never used before.

This Birchbox pop-up shop London is a good introduction to the subscription service, or if you really want to try out new products. But for any avid #bbloggers like myself, it might be something you might want to give a miss. Also, this store does offer gift wrapping (which I also declined as I was only buying for myself) and what with Christmas around the corner, it might be a nice gift idea to give someone.

The Brichbox pop-up shop London is available now until the end of January and it down Carnaby street. Let me know if you do decide to pop in and build your own Birchbox.
