If you are visiting London this year and want to find some cheap fun things to do, well you are in luck. As here are 5 things to do in London that won’t bankrupt you.

Now being someone who lives in London, there are time when the city can be overwhelming. So I can’t even imagine what it must be like for any visitors. Especially if this is your first time visiting.

Yes, London is big and overwhelming, at times. Especially during Rush hours. But as long as you got a good pair of walking boots and have a map (or a good sense of directions), then you will be fine. Once you get your bearing and becomes familiar with landmarks then over time London will feel like home.

So having said that, if London is on your plan of places to visit this year and want to have fun. Then you are in luck as London is chock-filled of fun! Seriously, there is always something to see or to do. There’s never a dull moment here.

Ok, you want to have fun, but you are kind of needing to keep the cost down. No problem as not everything here in London is expensive. It is possible to do fun things here in London.

So let me be your tour guide and show you 5 fun things to do in London that won’t bankrupt you.

Visit Camden Market & Town:

I covered this a few weeks ago, me exploring Camden Market and Town. But if you are on your way to London Zoo and need to kill a few hours then it well worth visiting. A marketplace that is a melting pot of cultures. It a place to see to believe it. Even if you don’t have the funds to buy anything, it still worthwhile just to walk around and to take all in.

The area around Southbank/London Eyes:

You can have a lovely day out around the area of Southbank/London Eyes. Well for a starter there is London Aquarium, The London Dungeon and the circus. There is also plenty of restaurants and general street performances and often street markets. Like I said, that particular area there is always something on.

Walk around the West End/Covent Garden:

My favourite area of London. Like the Southbank, there is always something on, always. Walk around the famous marketplace, have a cupcake or two at various coffee shops, there also loads of quirky independent shops to check out. Street performances and generally getting lost in all the little lanes.

Eat at the Rainforest Café:

A restaurant where the jungles come alive. For real. This is an experience you must try out at least once. There no other restaurants like it.

Shop around Oxford Street/Carnaby Street:

The shopping destination of London (well some might argue it Bond street that is the shopping destination but I find that too pricey for my like!). There is Liberty, a lot of flagsteet stores and something for every taste imaginable. I do love just walking around here and pretending I’m super rich.

That was my list of 5 fun things to do in London. I hope this has inspired you on your visit to London. This is only a taster of what to do in London, my advice is to get a bigger picture is to download the Time Out apps as that will tell what on and where.
