For any of my long time’s readers will know, I am a shopaholic and I shamelessly have a shopaholic wardrobe to match my status. It must be quite surprising to hear that I don’t actually have a lot of vintage dresses in my collection. Ok, I have what I call ‘retro-inspired’ dresses, but not authentic vintage dresses from a certain era.
This is quite surprising as I quite frankly love vintage and I love dresses, so not having many vintage dresses seem like something is missing.
Well, the problem is, a lot of vintage dresses I have found don’t really fit me very well. I’m 4ft10 and is basically a squash jelly baby. So a lot of vintage dresses don’t fit so well for a short/petite person and doesn’t accumulate my difficult body shape.
I’m sure there are vintage dresses out there, that can fit me. But I haven’t found any that I like or cater to the era I’m interested in; the 1930,40s, the 50s and 60s. So umm yeah quite wide of time-frame here. You can see why it isn’t easy for me.
