If you are looking for alternative way on getting to sleep, rather than taking sleeping pills. Then these Feather & Down Sweet Dreams products might be what you have been looking for.

In the past I have shown you Lush sleepy cream, with many of you saying the smell put you off using it, I have also shown Champneys Heavenly Days Relaxing Products which is another beauty sleep products, an alternative to the Lush sleep cream.

Now I’m going to show you another beauty product that promise to help you sleep at night.  These caught my eyes recently while in Boots (a UK drugstore), and anything that can help me with my sleeping is all good.

Let me introduce you to Feather & Down Sweet Dreams. A new brand that only got recently launched. Their products are a blend of Chamomile and lavender, which I’m sure you know are relaxing properties.

There are 4 main products within this range:

Feather & Down Sweet Dreams

  • Feather & Down Sweet Dreams Melting Shower Cream
  • Feather & Down Sweet Dreams Pillow Spray
  • Feather & Down Sweet Dreams All Purpose Sleep Balm
  • Feather & Down Sweet Dreams Sleep Butter

Very Similar to Champneys Heavenly Days Relaxing products, but don’t let that put you off. I feel the Champneys products is more centered on a home ‘spa’ experience, while Feather & Down is more focus on you actually getting to sleep at night.  Let me talk you though each of them:

Feather & Down Sweet Dreams Melting Shower Cream

Cleanse your skin, clear your mind, and let daytime stress wash away. This Shower Cream will melt into a calming oil when gently massaged into your skin, leaving it feeling beautifully soft and deeply nourished.

This is for anyone who like to shower before going to bed, or anyone who is just wanting to relax after a hard day. The shower cream does smells of chamomile and lavender, but it isn’t very strong. As you expect from a shower cream, it does lather up well and made my skin soft. But did it make me sleepy? It hard to tell, as when I used this I was tired anyway. Let just say I felt more relaxed and peaceful after using the shower cream.

Feather & Down Sweet Dreams Pillow Spray

An infusion of Lavender and Chamomile essential oils to help reduce an anxious mind and encourage calm to aid a restful night’s sleep.  Sink into your pillow, close your eyes and relax to the soothing fragrance allowing your mind to wander before waking from a calming sleep.

I’m a fan of pillow spray, as I used the Champneys one for years. So was anxious to try this out. When spray, you do get lavender and It does linger on the pillow. But I felt this wasn’t as powerful as the Champneys pillow mist, it just gives your pillow a nice lavender scent. After spraying, I think it did the job well, as I’m feel asleep pretty quickly.  Another good advice is, spray just a little on your pajamas if you don’t want to put any on the pillow. Yeah after using the spray, I had a peaceful night sleep.

Feather & Down Sweet Dreams All Purpose Sleep Balm

This balm contains Lavender and Chamomile essential oils blended with nourishing Vitamin E. Create a calming fragrance on your pulse points to help ease your mind and encourage a restful night’s sleep.

This is something that can be done just before you get into bed at night. Just simply apply the balm on your pulse and then you don’t need to worry about it, as it does the job for you. This is supposed to help slow down your heart beat to help you sleep.  Does it work? Well it hard to tell. The balm itself smells of shea butter and chamomile and you don’t notice the smell on the skin. I didn’t fall asleep straight away and I kind of felt that this didn’t do anything for me. A nice idea, but I think it isn’t worth using.

Feather & Down Sweet Dreams Sleep Butter

This butter contains a beautiful blend of Lavender and Chamomile essential oils. Wrap yourself in a blanket of rich butter allowing it to melt into your skin overnight. Awake well-rested with beautifully soft, nourished skin and a refreshed mind.

I’m a fan of applying butter or night cream before going to bed, so I was happy to try this out. It doesn’t really have a smell to it – which is nice if you’re not a fan of applying powerful scent cream at night; also you don’t notice it on the skin. It made my skin soft and the cream does sin in quite quickly. I felt more ‘clean’ from the cream, then feeling sleepy. But on the plus side I also felt more relaxed and peaceful. A nice cream to use when you don’t have the others at your disposal.

Overall:

I really like Feather & Down Sweet Dreams products and feel it exactly the kind of products anyone would use when having problem sleeping. It beautifully packages and like I said at the beginning, focus more of you feeling relaxed then having a home spa experience. This also might be nice to use when traveling and trying to get over jet lag. Overall, I will use Feather & Down Sweet Dreams products again.
