If you are a long-time reader on here, then you will know I’m always changing my hair and doing something weird and wonderful to it.

I’m the kind of girl who dives headfirst into something and asks questions later. I’m spontaneous and do things without really thinking about the consequences.

Which is something I did this weekend; I dive headfirst and went spontaneous on my hair. I decided to try out the Schwarzkopf Urban Metallics Live Blue Mercury. I’ve been every colour under the sun – but never been blue, so I thought with this lockdown in force, and I’m not going anywhere, I thought now would be the best time to live my blue dream.

I decided to try out the Schwarzkopf Urban Metallic Live Blue Mercury as it seems to be the shade of blue that would work on my brown hair. The blub on the packet promises to create metallic tones with striking colour intensity.

So, I just went for it and let me show you the results:

Results:

Well as you can see from the pictures, umm the result wasn’t so striking, and it looked a little weird. This was a case of perhaps I should have done a little research on this dye and probably read reviews on it as other people commented it didn’t quite turn out how you expected it to. Different people have written that the colour of the dye didn’t come out and it looked a little patchy in places.  Yup, that is definitely what happened to me as my hair turned out to look uneven and the colour didn’t stick or came out how I expected it to. The blue colour sort of came out at the top of my hair, but from the crown downward it looks grungy and greyish.

Maybe I didn’t keep the dye in long enough, or perhaps I didn’t section my hair, but I followed the instruction down to a T, and I got help with the back of my hair (yes I dragged my husband in to help!).

Overall, I was disappointed with the Schwarzkopf Urban Metallics Live Blue Mercury, and I do not recommend it. Perhaps next time I might do some research and read other people reviews before diving headfirst into it. But then again, me being the kind of girl I am – maybe not.

I would also like to say since I took the photos the dye now doesn’t look blue and have entirely faded. My hair now looks a greyish grungy and colourless.  Do not try out the Schwarzkopf Urban Metallics Live Blue Mercury as you will not get the result you would want.

Thank you for taking the time to read this post. Stay tuned for more updates!
