As lockdown continue my skin keep getting drier and drier, soon it will be drier than the Sahara Desert. This was why I decided to reach for this Dirty Works Jelly Berry Body Lotion Gel.
Seriously, I’m not sure if it the dry weather doing it or there is no moisture in the air at my place.
My skin hasn’t been this bad since I was in my 20s when I was going through serious skin issues. I had these red dry, itchy rashes all over my body, and I ended up having steroid injected to calm it down.
I was in Sainsbury’s the other day and decided to do something for my dry cracked up skin and brought this body lotion, the Dirty Works Jelly Berry Body Lotion Gel.
I have used quite a few Dirty Works products, and I have found; you can’t go wrong. So obviously I was keen to try this out, and I had high hopes it would be at least a starting point for my skin dilemma.
Dirty Works Jelly Berry Body Lotion Gel
Fit to burst with fruity goodness, this lotion is loaded with the extracts of skin conditioning berries – cranberry, strawberry and blueberry. Mix these together with lemon and orange peel and sweet almond oils, and this is the skin-loving result. Quenching thirsty skin doesn’t have to take a long time, and this lightweight, non-sticky, dry quick-y gel proves it – it’s easy to smooth on so you can get a move on! Skin will thank you for this juicy pick-me-up when it’s feeling fresh, smelling sweet and happily hydrated.

This certainly smells very fruity; it smells like a fruity smoothie. You can still smell it after applying the gel on your skin. The smell might put some people off -especially if you’re not a fan of smelly beauty products.
But I’m sure you are wondering, does this help dry skin? Well, there is good news and bad news. So let start with the good news first, It sinks into the skin quickly and left it feeling soft, not super soft but noticeable softer than before; so that a plus. The bad news is that it doesn’t do anything for dry skin as I notice no improvement after applying the gel. That’s a bummer.
Do I recommend this? Not really, and it not a verdict I wanted to come too as I like Dirty Works products. But this body lotion gel didn’t solve my skin problem. I almost feel like I’m back at square one and I’m still searching for that magic elixir. This feel no different from the other body lotion gel that is on the market.
