Oh, happy days, it is finally December, and once again, the festive season is upon us. Not going to lie, I’m so excited It Christmas and that we’re finally in December. Here’s why I’m glad it is finally December.
It means Christmas is coming and who can be a scrooge about that? I always love the festive season, and I’m such a big kid; Christmas brings out the big kid in me.
What do I like about Christmas? Well, I often think people are in a happier mood around this time of year (yes, even with covid), and when you see all the fairy lights and the decorated Christmas tree, it brings so much joy into your heart.
Christmas always brings my foodie side out, and I go mad for Christmas foods. Mince pies, yule logs and enough chocolate to last a lifetime – I’m hungry just thinking about it.
The downside of Christmas is the crowds at the shops and trying to find presents for someone. Ok, Christmas shopping isn’t precisely my fun thing to do around this time of year as I’m always stuck for ideas. But I don’t let that dampen my mood.
Christmas day is about drinking as much gin as you can and watching rubbish Christmas movies on the TV.
So that is part one of why I’m glad it is finally December as it means – Christmas festivity.
But that is not all there is a big reason why I have been looking forward to December….
…It is also my tenth wedding anniversary this year.
I will be talking more about that nearer the time, but oh my god, I’m hitting a pretty significant milestone, and I’m excited.
Overall, with it finally being December, I have lots of amazing things I’m so looking forward to, and it also means I am a little closer to saying goodbye to 2021 and hello to 2022.
