The Panda is almost an iconic image of China, and these great animals are found nowhere else on this planet, apart from zoos. You can take a guided tour to experience seeing these gentle giants in their native habitat, or you can go to the Panda Breeding Centre where you can get up-close and personal. You will be able to touch the Pandas, as well as observe them in their habitat that is made to be as natural as possible. You will also be able to learn about the centres effort to help breed these endangered animals so that future generations can enjoy them.

Walk Along an Ancient Wall
All right then, you may be able to walk along ancient walls in cities throughout the world, but how many can boast a wall as long as the Great Wall of China? How to plan your first trip to China is up to you, but you really should take in this iconic symbol of China when you visit. Try hiring a local guide to take you along the wall and well away from the tourist spots. You and your party will be able to enjoy the scenery and atmosphere in almost solitude. The wall may not be in good condition as some of the more popular destinations along the wall, but it is worth it to get away from the crowds and let your imagination experience what it may have been like when it was built those thousands of years ago. As the wall is over 5000 miles long, you can choose from some great towns and cities as to where you will link up with the wall. There are many companies that offer customised tours that will match the itinerary that you desire.

Have a Morning Dance
Again, this is not exclusive to China as it is also practised elsewhere, but China is where the likes of Tai Chi originate. In parks all across the country, you will see people congregating for their morning exercise, which can look like a choreographed dance routine to the untrained eye. You may wish to take some classes so you can learn this ancient Martial Art, or you may just decide to wing it and join in with the locals. They will most likely not mind and will probably be laughing at the way that you move, but experiences like that are what makes a truly memorable holiday that you might cherish for many years to come.
