About a month ago now we took a minute break to Weymouth, Devon. It was round the time of the hottest day of the year and it was when I took my photos of my ragged shipped wrecked skirt on a desert island, and saw some monkey’s. As it was boiling hot weather and it would be silly not to visit the beach and to take in some sight. So that what we did, we went down to the lovely sandy beach in the morning while it was cooler and then we walked along the coast and the little seaside village.

As you can see the beach at Weymouth was a lovely fine golden sand that was soft to walk on with bare feet.  After sitting on the beach for most of the morning and enjoying the cool breeze that was blowing, we decided to cool down with some milkshake:

Richard’s mum did suggest to us to walk down and to see the sea-life  attraction, so that what we did. It not in the ‘main’ part of the town area at Weymouth, it a little further out and a little further along the beach so in the scorching heat we walked there. Big mistake cause we got completely burnt (yeah it our fault I know, we forgot to buy sun cream) and I could feel my skin tingled and cooked under the intense heat.

Anyway we  got to the sea-life attraction, it’s a big park with lots of different themes and different attraction, perfect for kids and for a day out.  This is what we saw:

So unlike other sea-life attraction where it all indoor and it’s a big giant aquarium (there was lots of that as well), a lot of it was outdoor and had other sea-life creatures such as otters, sealion and off course some penguins:

I think these poor creature was suffering from the heat as much as we was – however they did have their own pool to dive in to cool down.  We sat around to see a rock pool demonstration and we had a gentle pace walking around the park, had ice cream and a cool drink. We wasn’t in the mood running around, it was too hot for that!

Eventually we made our way to the exit as we saw everything and enjoyed the afternoon there. Rather then walk all the way back into the the main town/beach area we found out there was a little train running along the edge of the beach, so we did that.

On our way back we saw a Punch & Judy show:

It isn’t a trip to the seaside without seeing a Punch & Judy show.  We had some traditional sausage & chips on the beach and then took the train home.  So that was my summer at Weymouth beach, where I saw penguin and Punch & Judy. Maybe next year I’ll do it again.
