How to make Anna’s head explode this Autumn/Winter? Easy, just make all clothes have that little extra, maybe something like having floral embroidery stitched on every piece of items this season.  Now I don’t know if you have notice, but this season’s biggest trend is all about floral embroidery.

Little floral designs that have been sewed into the fabric on the clothes.  Giving all these garments a rather unique style to them, don’t you think so? I mean, what make them so special and  different to any other so call ‘floral print’ designs that you can buy anywhere? Well I think these are different in the fact that have been embroidered onto the clothes, rather then have a machine printed the design on the clothes.

The embroidery look on these clothes give it a home-made charm and you have an image of sitting by a window looking out of the field while sewing/embroidering onto a cardigan. Do you see where I’m going with this? Basically I love anything that can give clothes a homemade charm, I always been a massive fan of embroidery on clothes. Maybe there a bit of nostalgic and can remember my mum sitting by a window (not look out on a field but a garden) sewing/embroidering a pretty floral designs on my dresses. My mum old saying ‘why buy something new, when you can sewed something on?’ I expect she picked that up from her mum (my grandmother) – make something old into something new.

I think If I’m honest and if I had the time, I would do the same thing – make an old garment into something new and special.  But in the age of computer I never leaned how to sew which is terrible to admit! However that hasn’t stopped me, a few years ago I was obsessed with Laura Lees For Topshop. She was a fashion embroidery designer who had a limited collection in Topshop and I was CRAZY for her designs. I loved them, I brought almost her entire collection. She would have embroidered skull and other crazy designs, I thought her clothes was the coolest. However it wasn’t to last and her design clothes are now not only limited edition but still can be snapped up on Ebay.

This is why I’m head over heels in love with the New Look Floral Embroidery trend this season. It isn’t over the top floral and have given all clothes a rather home-made unique quality to them. Enough talk, let me show you what I mean:
