With winter still dragging its heels and with the weather being so cold and miserable. Instead of going out – watch 4 nostalgic shows on Netflix.
Now I don’t know about you, but I’m so done with winter now. Especially after last week storm, as last week here in the UK – it was very windy. It was like being in a wind machine and feeling the full force on your face. For me that day I was travelling around and waiting for my train on a narrow platform – it was quite scary as the strength of the wind was so strong I felt like I could be blown away.
But as I said, I’m done with winter now – but the plus side of this wintery weather is having an excuse to have some Nextflix time!
Lately I have seen some shows on there that bring back childhood memories. You know the kind of childhood memories that make you feel all nostalgic and make you remember a pacific time in your life. Here an example, I use to love the Sweet Valley high (don’t laugh, stop laughing will you!) TV show while I was growing up and as I was a massive fan of the books. Recently I noticed that the whole show is on Youtube and It take me back to my Primary school days when I would bore my friends stupid about telling them everything about SVH.
Anyway as I was saying, Netflix are showing some of my favorites childhood shows, so I thought I would share them with you. As I think you be foolish not to miss these gem (get it – well you will in a sec!). *sigh* They don’t make telly like how they use. Here are 4 nostalgic shows on Netflix you need to watch.
She-Ra
For the honor of Grey-skull I am She-Ra! Who didn’t want to be She-Ra growing up? And who didn’t want a flying unicorn? I use to watch this on Saturday morning while having breakfast in bed. It was just a fun cartoon to watch when there was nothing else on the telly. Even at a young age I do remember myself somehow rooting for the bad guys, who else was like that?
He-Man
You can’t have She-Ra without He-man. I include this on the list as it something for the guys. They use to show He-Man and She-Ra simultaneously together. I was never that much a fan of He-man but I did have the action figurine. I think I once nicked my cousin figurine when mine broke. If any guys are reading this, what made you watch He-Man?
Jem and the Holograms
Glamour, glitter, fashion and fame, once you’re a Jem girl you never the same. I use to bloody love this show. I was seriously obsessed – I’m still am. As a young child I wanted pink hair and pink earrings. I would sing the songs and read the comics. I read in an interview once that Pink was heavily influence by Jem and the Holograms. I think any girls growing up in the 80s was influenced by this cartoon, it was outrages.
Fresh Prince of Bel-Air
I didn’t watch this till middle school but I’m sure you are all familiar with this show. This was the first time we got to see Will Smith before he was the big movie stars we know today. At a young age I didn’t quite get the humor but it still made me laugh and I would love looking at all the fashion.
So those were my tops 4 nostalgic show on Netlfix. Let me know if you will be watching any of them.
