A few weeks ago I wrote about the top to toes pink trend. Now another spring/summer striped trend is hitting the high street, you don’t want to miss out.

Despite people telling me it was a fool errand for even wanting to wear something striped, ”horizontal stripes make you look wider” they would tell me. A fashion myth that just won’t die, It’s has in fact been proven time and time again that it’s a load of rubbish, however many people still seem to be convinced that the moment they put on anything striped it’ll somehow completely alter their body shape and make you look wider instead of thinner.  I would just roll my eyes and tell them there are being stupid. I’m in the belief that everyone should have something fabulous and striped in their wardrobe.

And when you think about it, Stripes never seem to go out of fashion. And why would you want too anyway? A black and white striped dress never go out of style. Also it seems the striped dress or a skirt every year just keep on finding a way on being re-invented. Not that I’m complaining mine you. I’m a girl who is crazy for a striped black and white dress, I mean I brought the H&M striped dress last summer.

Anyway, striped is a big trend for spring/summer 2017. With high streets introducing us to some vibrant, bold and wonderful striking stripes. High streets fashion store all offer the graphic stripes as more causal, wear rather than a workwear striped suit. The new stripes are all about being free from the resection of the pinstripes of old and allowing that person to be vibrant, bold and striking. Good bye old boring stripes – hello fun stripes.
