As lots of you seem to enjoy my Lewes pictures, I thought I will show some different day out pictures. When I had a day at Kew Gardens.
When Richard and I first got together, we use to always travel up to Kew Garden for a day out. It was so romantic walking around, laying on the grass looking up at the sky and talking about our hopes and dreams for the future.
For those who don’t know, Kew Gardens is a massive park/garden area in West London that houses some famous greenhouses and monuments. It also a horticulture dream paradise.
Richard’s parents are into horticulture, so they are friends of Kew, which means they get free passes after paying an annual fee. Which benefits us as we can use the free passes and also go whenever we want.
We’re not into horticulture, one little bit. I don’t have the green thumb skill as every plant I own has all died very quickly and I couldn’t 5 names different plants to save my bloody life. However, it still nice for to walk around and to photograph all the flowers.
Which brings me to my point, someone recently asked me on why I take so many flowers pictures? I didn’t know I did till someone mentions it to me – truthfully flowers are a better subject matter when it comes to photographing. It doesn’t move about and it quite easy to take a picture.
Anyway, a day at Kew Gardens are from a few years ago now, since we been married we haven’t yet gone. We keep talking about it – but we keep making other plans instead. I suppose now I’m working from home full-time, I should make the effort to visit sometime; with or without Richard.
Here are some photos from a day at Kew Gardens. If you want a relaxing day in an open park that covers miles upon miles of flowers and greenery. Then I do recommend you to visit.
