If you love Lush and love your sleep, then how do you combine them both? Well, you will need Lush Sleepy body lotion.
Every single night I have trouble getting to sleep. I am a nightmare as I’m always restless, irritable and more often than not, wide awake. I find my brain often use that time (when I’m trying to get to sleep) as the perfect time to plan everything I’m going to do the following day. I also find my legs like to do some dancing at the time as well.
So sleeping is bloody difficult. It’s no wonders I often wake up dowse and can’t function for the first two hours of the day.
And if I do sleep, I will also often wake up at 3 am – every single night! No, I’m not joking. My brain for some reason switches on at 3 am. Yes, the witching hour. No matter what time I go to bed I will wake up every single night at 3 am. Isn’t that just weird? It like I’m cursed by waking up every night at 3 am.
Oh, I do envy my husband who sleeps like a log every night. A tornado can come blasting through and he would still be sleeping like a baby.
It safe to say that over the year I have tried the various method. For example, my mum would often recommend spraying lavender oil on my pillow, while all the sleep expert recommends a nice warm bath and a book to read.
Those methods do work for me, but they not always sustainable to do. I found myself really outgrowing bath and I would also get a complaint from a certain man that he hates the smell of the lavender oil. I have tried sleeping pills but me, being the most difficult person on the planet find I will wake up with a pounding headache.
When I came across an article recently stating that Lush Sleepy body lotion is the perfect solution for insomnia, I was keen to try it out for myself.
Hailed as a miracle cure for insomnia, this Lush sleepy body lotion promised to send even the most difficult people off to a peaceful slumber.
I am a fan of Lush, I do swear by them and know that I can’t go wrong with them. Every product I have ever tried never gave me an allergic reaction and it has always given me glowing skin. However, recently I went off them – just for the fact that there isn’t a Lush store near me. And let be honest, lush is one of that store where you need to smell and feel everything before you buy.
Anyway, Lush Sleepy body lotion says this:
You’ll sleep well after dipping into this dreamy lotion, made with a gentle oatmeal infusion, calming lavender flower and comfortingly sweet tonka absolute. A rich, malty and floral perfume conjures up visions of sugar plums and hot drinks topped with whipped cream while the heavenly ministrations of creamy Fair Trade organic cocoa butter and delicate lavender water cool and enrich the skin. Blanket your body in this lovely lotion before stepping into soft pyjamas for snuggly nights beside the fire.

How did I get on with this? And did this send me into a peaceful slumber?
Oh my god. You bet it did. I wasn’t expecting much and kind of thought the claimed from other reviews were slightly exaggerated, but nope no exaggeration – this really does work as a miracle cream.
My husband thinks this smell like raisin and cinnamon cake! But personally, I don’t think it smells like that at all. Unlike most Lush products, this isn’t an over powering scent and you only get a whiff of it when applying on skin. I think it smells of lavender and ylang ylang oil, it a really pleasant smell. Which is good as if you buying a body lotion that will hopefully make you drift off to sleep – you don’t want something over powering.
I find the best way to use this is to apply on dry skin all over your body and then get into bed. The lotion itself doesn’t linger on the surface so it won’t feel sticky when you are underneath the bed covers. It does sink into the skin quite quickly and will leave you with smooth soft skin.
The first time I use this, I wasn’t expecting much and was a little doubtful that it would work on an insomnia nuts like me. But honestly, after the first time, I used this I had no over the active brain, no dancing feet and no mysterious 3 am wake-up call.
This really does work and it really is the miracle cream everyone been hailing it as. I find myself since using this I would sleep like a log and have nothing but undisrupted slumber throughout the night.
I highly recommend Lush Sleepy body lotion if you do suffer from insomnia. Even if you are not a fan of Lush products, I would still buy this. It has been a week since I first tried it out and I’m singing nothing but it praises here.
Let me know if you will be trying out Lush Sleepy body lotion and how you got on.
