Christmas in London is always magical and also a lot of fun, as there are tons of things to see and do. I’ve been busy the past few weeks taking photos of Christmas in London. Here are my photos.
Christmas this year been an odd one, as It has just crept up on me. I knew it was coming, but I don’t think I really thought about just how fast it would be here. One minute I was thinking about Halloween, then I blinked and suddenly I found myself needing to think about Christmas.
It one of the reasons why I haven’t done many Christmassy contents on here, or even did blogmas this year. The whole season suddenly crept up on me and I was totally unprepared.
None the less, I have been out and about, exploring Christmas in London and taking a lot of photos. Wherever I went in London, I took my camera and snapped some photos.
As I said in the introduction. Christmas in London is a lot of fun and really magical. There’s plenty to see and do. There’s never a dull moment.
Before we go any further, I should warn you that this will be an image heavy post. It might not be so great if you are viewing on mobile and on wi-fi. It might be an idea to wait till on desktop and on a faster broadband connection.
If you are in the mood to see some magical lights and also some shopping, then Oxford Street and Carnaby street is where you need to be. It always special to see the lights and the Christmas decorations. Also, for me, I like to soak in the buzz and electric atmosphere when I’m there. Plus, if I’m honest, the shopping isn’t bad either.
The next place to visit, especially if you got some spare time and fancy doing something really fun! Go ice skating at Somerset House. I love Somerset house anyway, especially the little cute café they have. I can’t skate to save my life, I have hard enough problem just trying to balance on my two left feet, without adding skate to the mixed. So I don’t skate, but I like to watch other people doing it and be really envious.
Walking around Sloane Square, which we did after visiting Peggy Porschen Cakes. I don’t get to visit Sloane square very often, but when I do – I like to walk around and see all the boutiques and little shops. I also really liked the lights around the area, as it looked like little fireworks. Very pretty.
On our way to the Baileys treat shop, we stopped very quickly to look round the main Covent garden area. I’ve covered Christmas at Covent garden before, but I will show you quickly the pretty lights and decorations they had. Christmas at Covent garden is always magical and a lot of fun.
The last thing I want to show you is the little winter market area in Leicester Square. Which I thought was very festive. We didn’t go in, as we didn’t have time. But if you like Christmas lights and a place where to buy mince pies – then head over to Leicester Square as they have a little christmas market set up, which I thought was cute. And plus, Leicester square is just awesome anyway.
That is only a tiny fraction of things to see and do at Christmas in London. There so much more I could show you, which I will leave it for another year.
