I brought a few Dirty Works products from Sainsbury a few weeks ago and The Ultimate Detox Mud Mask was one of them. I have admit that I never heard of Dirty Works either before seeing them on the shelves at Sainsbury.
Product Description
An intensive and radiance boosting face mask to deeply cleanse and replenish your skin. Combining superfruit extract of Blueberry, skin clearing Willow Bark and detoxifying Green Clay and Kaolin to help draw out impurities, skin will be left feeling refreshed and glowing!
Directions: Apply a thin layer of MASK to cleansed face, neck and décolleté. Relax for 10 minutes while it dries. Splash with warm water to remove, or wipe clean with a damp flannel, and gently pat skin dry. Use once or twice a week, or when your skin is in need of some extra TLC!
So far so good, I think you’ll agreed. I mean what could possibly go wrong? Well…. I have used this mask 3 or 4 times now and the first thing I always notice when applying it is that it dries very quickly. I have also find that once the mask has dried, which takes roughly around 10 minutes, it is really difficult to remove. It isn’t a case of getting a flannel and washing your face with it, it more of filling the sink with warm water and dipping your face in it. Yeah you need to scrub quite hard to get the mud mask off, which can leave you with the undesirable effect you was hoping for. Also your skin will feel quite tight when the mask is on you due to it drying very quickly, but really you not planning on having a full-blown conversation when this mask is on – it’s your pamper quiet me time so it shouldn’t really be a problem.
The mask itself comes in very light mint green colour and has a very fresh scent and smells really good. The mask, you’ll be pleased to hear does not irritate my skin at all. My skin after worth really glows and it felt soft and smooth.
This mask I feel needs to be used in addition to a good skincare routine but if you’re looking for a quick detox and to help perk up your skin ready for the Autumn/winter then this is a good choice. And with it retailing at £4.99 for a 100ml tube from Sainsburys, this is a great option for those on a budget who are looking for a great quality skincare treat.
