For us women we all looking for the holy grail of weight loss, fortunately, there’s no need to look any further as here my experience using the i-lipo machine.

Right you guys, I have a confession to make – *take deep breath* – I’ve been having i-lipo sessions every week for the past month.

Yeah, I’ve been having i-lipo sessions in the effort to help with my weight loss – who am I kidding. I wanted the holy grail of weight loss. Who doesn’t? I want that magic thing in life that can zap you into shape.

I can write here and give you all the woo of me fighting the battle with the tummy bulge and yes, I may joke around about my apple figure. But in short and if I’m honest here – all joking aside my weight was getting out of hand. I was turning into a cross between a squash jelly baby and a potato.

I often did joke with Richard about liposuction and a couple of time I have been very tempted to sign up to one of those deals I would see on Wowcher or Groupon. Relax folks, I never did.

If you’re thinking, what the big deal about your weight? Well for a woman my age and height – someone who is in her early 30s and under 5ft; it isn’t healthy put it that way.

How did the suggestion of i-lipo come about? Well one day Richard and I was walking around one day and yes the subject of my weight came up and how going to the gym while joining slimming world just wasn’t enough for me. He did bring up laser lipo and how it might help thing into gear.

It got the old clog in my brain working and I started to do some research, I did start to seriously consider some form of laser lipo. I mean before considering it, I had these vivid images of laying on a metal hospital bed with tubing coming out of you while sucking the fat out of you. I thought that was the only options so when I heard about laser lipo and how it a much safer option to losing fat then liposuction; Then of course I was keen to try it out.

Before I go any further, I cannot stress this enough – please do your research. It was a couple of months before I did my first session. Throughout that time, I read everything I could and watched everything on Youtube. Even when I booked my first session I bombarded the practitioner with questions. If you’re not ready to book, don’t be afraid to ring up and just ask some general questions. I don’t want you to read this and then book up and think you will be instantly fabulous. It might not work as well as you hope, so please do your research.

What is it:

Laser lipo is liposuction – without the suction part. It’s a non-invasive type of liposuction and its 100% safe. I wouldn’t claim it wasn’t 100% safe without me trying it first.  I-lipo is a low level eight treatments to help you get rid of cellulite, fat, and to lessen the appearance of stretch marks.

This works by placing four-eight small plastic paddles placed on the treatment area and secured with velcro straps so they stay in place. The paddles emit low levels of laser energy, which essentially blasts the fat cells without harming your skin.

The low-level sends the signal to break down the stored fatty acids and glycerol which then releases the fat to be eliminated from the body naturally.

I have a video which I think will explain it better than me.

My experience:

After doing my months of research, I eventually settled and decided to take the plunge. The first thing I noticed when looking around for a clinic was the prices. There were some clinics who charged a small fortune.

It isn’t a cheap procedure and looks around for different prices. Also, be on the lookout for any special sale that is on. That what I eventually settled on. I found a clinic that has a 25% off sale so I eventually went with that. But once you found a price – it usually for all the eight sessions that you will be having.

I found Lisa’s clinic based in Ewell village Surrey. A small clinic that specializes only with i-lipo. For the thing to work properly, it recommended having 8 sessions in total. Lisa’s clinic isn’t near me and could be a trek to get there but I always told myself that it got me out of the house and I didn’t really mind.

So I decided to book and take the plunge to have all 8 sessions. When I initially range up, I bombarded her with questions and Lisa were extremely helpful and kind when she answered me. I’m sure she heard it all before.

I was able to be booked in for the next day.

The first thing you do when you walk into Lisa’s or into any clinic is given a form to fill out, a short medical form. Standard procedure and it cover you both.

I filled out the form and then was lead into a private room at the back where you have a bed and the i-lipo machine. It complexly private and I found it to be a little cosy.

Now some clinic might do the dreaded before and after photos. Personally, I hate them so I was happy when Lisa said she doesn’t do it. I suppose if you are that unhappy then you can always request no pictures.

However, before you go onto the machine and on your first session, you do get measured. This is to compare to how you are before and after. It completely private and it is secret between you both.

I then got told to lie on the bed, while keeping my t-shirt lifted. She tied the Velcro belt round me and then placed the eight (some clinic might just do 4) paddles around my stomach. She told me not worry and you might feel a little heat, but that normal. It is no different in putting a little heat patch when you injured yourself.

The paddles are placed for 10 minutes so during that time, keep still and just let the paddles do their magic.

After 10 minutes, the paddles are removed and you are measured again. This is to see if it works. On my first session, I lost 3-4 inches/cm.

Now something I haven’t mentioned yet – to make i-lipo work well for you and to help the fat be eliminated from the body, you do need to exercise and drink tons of water. It recommended doing at 20-30 minutes of exercise within 24 hours of using the machine. For me, this wasn’t a problem as I go to the gym anyway.  Also, drink at least 1-2 litre of water as this flushes out all the toxins.

So immediately after you are placed on the machine, you are then taken into another room where you do a 15 minutes’ workout on the vibration plates. Don’t be afraid using this, I actually enjoyed using this as it kind of wiggle you’re your hips side to side. You do just stand there for 15 minutes while it wiggles you.

And that the sessions over till the next time. Drinks some water after and make sure you do some more exercises.

Overall the session will take about 25 minutes and for me I was in and out there. It the same procedure every time – led into a room, have the paddles on you, measure your result and then have a 15 minutes’ session on the vibration plates.

Throughout my time having this I witness a constant conveyor belt of women having this done. One woman in and one woman out. Lisa’s clinic was never empty, which does reassure you that it does work for other women’s.

The Results:

Right, I suppose you want the results of how I got on. Drumrolls, please….

It totals I lost 30 inches/cm (sorry as I’m writing this I can’t remember if it was cm or inches).

I lost 6 pounds in weight.

Amazing result! Woohoo – an achievement I wouldn’t be able to achieve without some help.

I didn’t do a before or after pictures as like I said those things scare me.

How do I feel?

I feel pretty damn good and it does work! You really do see instant results. I feel my stomach is inflated and I’m slowly getting my figure back in order.  Overall I do recommend this – but you do need to work on it and be 100% dedicated. I will be having these sessions again – but not straight away (current can’t afford any more).

I feel I have said enough so in the comments box, feel free to ask me any questions.
