For as long as I have been doing outfit posts, I have never known my signature colour. Here how I found my signature colour and how it changed my wardrobe style.

What is a signature colour? Essentially it a colour that makes you feel happy or peaceful. A hue where you look upon it and goes, ‘yes, this is so me’.  A colour that you love to wear time and time again and never get old.

That is how I’m interpreting it anyway; A light bulb went off in me earlier this year where I happen upon my signature colour, a hue that makes me feel happy instantly.

I’m sure if you have been following my outfit posts for a while, you realize I wear all sorts of outfits and don’t have just one style. Before the light bulb went off, this was how I thought it was for me; I’m just not one style kind-of girl; I go with whatever I like.

But then the light bulb went off as I realize I have been doing it all wrong. I’m not a style fit all-girl – there only one kind of style that does fit me.

And it this gorgeous soft pastel lilac colour I’m wearing in the pictures. Why did I not figure this out sooner?

Anyone, who knows me, knows that purple/lilac is my favourite colour anyway, I designed my bedroom in this colour scheme, but I never really thought it would be a colour I could wear.

Oh, how wrong as I. Me discovering how lilac/purple is my signature colour is like finding space teleportation, ok maybe not that extreme but still a revelation where I’m seeing it clearly for the first time.

This all ties in with spring/summer fashion high street stores as they are filled with lots of lovely lilac/purple hue fashion.

The dress I’m wearing is one of many dresses I have picked up the last few months in this hue. Since the light bulb went off, It has made me rechange my entire wardrobe. I no longer want or feel the need to have a mismatch of style, I now want one type of style, and this works for me.

Overall, what I’m saying is how finding my signature colour has made me happy and at peace. I now know what I can identify with and knows what works for me in the long term.
