Now Christmas is over and done with and now 4 days into the new year and January blues have settled in. I thought I would cheer you up by showing you five winter dresses to wear this season.
I have one requirement when looking for a winter dress and its a pretty much a simple one – it has to have sleeves. For me, it does not work if it doesn’t have a sleeve. Also, I won’t complain if it has pockets in either.
But the reason why I like winter dress to have sleeves is so I don’t freeze my bare arm while I’m out. As I got older, I found myself not a fan of shivering like a mad lady while waiting for transport to arrive. It took me long enough to learn, as I spent a fair amount of my ‘youth’ going outside in winter without a coat or something warm on. Yeah, I was stupid back then, but I was convinced I still looked cool – I now can see I didn’t and looked like the weirdo without a coat or a jumper on.
Now I’m older and perhaps wiser, I can’t stand when I see the ‘youth’ going out clubbing or having a night out on the town and they are wearing the shortest dress and maximum bare skin. I often feel like they won’t only be fighting a hangover – but also the flu. But I never do.
So yes, I like my winter dresses to have a sleeve. Sound even more like an old lady, having a winter dress with a sleeve just add that extra warmth and layer that will keep you warm.
These five winter dresses not only have sleeve – but in typical winter fashion, they also colourful and fun. I said this before, the duller the weather, the brighter my clothes are.
If you are feeling stuck with your wardrobe and has the case of January blues, then these five winter dresses will cheer you up. Plus give you an excuse to go shopping.
