This is more of updated post for my first ‘getting shredded‘ post from about 2-3 years ago.

As I have mentioned before I’m not one for following a strict exercise plans or eating the latest low carb diet fads, I could never do some 90 days plan or follow some 2+4 diet as well I would get so bored of it and I also like to decide when I can go to the gym – basically what I’m saying is I like to work round my own scheduled and I love my food.
Saying all that, there one thing I have learnt in my 30s that you now kind of need a schedule and you now need to have certain food in moderation. The expressing ”a moment on the lip – forever on the hips‘ kind ring true, as once you hit the big 30 your body change. Now I’m not talking about your body completely breaking down and you can no longer do the thing you love,  for me I noticed my metabolism have slowed down and my skin is a lot more dry. I still like to think of myself as spring chicken and I can do a lot of the thing I could in my 20s and I’m still as active as ever.
So what the point of this little rumbled? For the last week or so I decided to take charge and I created a form of schedule to help me get the body I desire in my 30s cause I can talk about my body changing and being active, but the truth is I’m not body confidence. I have learnt gradually that I need a schedule and to eat certain food in moderation, or otherwise I will never be body confidence or get the body/weight I only ever dream off.
So over the Easter weekend I signed up to slimming world, I will admit it was something I never planned on joining but having a few friends doing it as well, so that give me the motivational push that I need.
The best part is I can still eat the food I love – but in moderation. It work with a system that there are free foods such as eggs, meats, vegetables, pasta and dairy which doesn’t get counted as syns. All other food are counted as syns and you only allowed 15 syns a day, so if you want chips – that would be anywhere from 6-10 syns. So you have to be careful not to go over and careful when planning a meal. I decided to join a group and I will get weigh every week and progress chart. I personally think it has a better program then weight watcher.

How to stay motivated

Motivation is the one thing I do struggle with, like I keep saying – I do get bored easily! I have also written about how to stay motivated so now doubt I will be referring to that.
And then there is my hubby who would keep my spirit up and would nag me into exercising when I’m feeling lazy.
I have also found using Pinterest is a great way to stay motivated, just by looking at the Health & Fitness board where there are tons on tips, inforgraphic and pictures. I have my own Health & Fitness board where I would pin stuff that interest me and I know will benefit me.
My personal Goal
My BMI often between healthy and overweight – ideally I want my BMI to blinking healthy every time I put in my measurement.
My current weight is 9 stone 10  (that is 136lbs), My height is 4ft10 so my ideal weight is 7stone 10 ( 108 pounds).
Anyone cared to join me?
If you are reading this and want to join in and want to lose weight and have that all important bikini body then please leave me a comment and we can be Slimming world buddy and we can write our progress together.
