As darkness falls across the land, the midnight hour is close at hand. Spirits come out to play. Here’s a spooktacular tale on how I got my Halloween spirit back.

Now a couple of weeks ago, I was having a crisis. I found myself not able to get into the Halloween spirit and this deeply worried me.

As I have said in the past, once summer is over, my full undivided attention goes to Halloween. Generally, around the October month, I get into my spooky groove and start to enjoy the long dark evening and the cooler weather.

To put it simply, Halloween is my gig. I am big on Halloween – more so than Christmas if you can believe it.

But earlier this month, a peculiar feeling happen – I wasn’t getting into my usual Halloween spirit. I just wasn’t feeling it.

So you can see why I said it was a crisis and why it deeply worried me.

From a young age, Halloween has been my big love affair. I have always loved the spookiness and weirdness. I would enjoy scaring myself silly by watching ghost films and reading ghost books.

But as October been so mild, I just wasn’t feeling it. I had no motivation to stock up on new ghost books or listen to a ghost stories podcast.

Then the strangest feeling happens while I was drowning my sorrow with a Bloody Mary. Somewhere a hallowing whispers spoke to me and said to me tune into Netflix.

On Netflix was a new show – The Haunting on Hill House. From looking at the trailer, it was my cup of tea. Something I can really sink my teeth into.

The Haunting of Hill House is the perfect spooky, scary ghost show to watch. If you haven’t watched it, go watch it as it brilliant.

Like a dense mist on a graveyard, I soon discovered that my Halloween spirit came back. Oh fang god all I can say.

Another thing I discovered, the mild weather soon became a distant dream, and the real October chill started to set in. The kind of chill that runs down your back whenever spirits are near.

Now I got my Halloween spirit back, and everything is all good in the world. I decided to bring back my Halloween special.

To celebrate the spooky season and to show off my crazy Halloween side. I have decided to bring back my Halloween special. A full seven day of Halloween special posts. Darkness falls not only outside – but also on here as well. Here is where it will be eternally midnight.

Oh yes, for the week leading up to Halloween; I will be going full-on darkness here. Expect ghoul’s fun and thrilled. Things that go bump in the night and strange noise will be heard.

Buckle up kids, for the next week; it’s going to be a spooktacular ride. Welcome to the world of the unknown.

Thank you for taking the time to read this post. Stay tuned for more updates!
