I was pleasantly surprised a few weeks ago to see this blog was put forward for this year UK blog award. So I entered the UK blog award 2018.
One-day a few weeks ago, I was sitting at my desk minding my own business When I got an email out of nowhere from UK blog award saying that this blog has been put forward for the fashion & beauty category. My jaw dropped and I was very pleasantly surprised.
I never consider of entering this blog for this award. I’m a little fish in a big sea of blogs. Truthfully I always thoughts I have more hope in going to the Maldives then entering such a huge blogging award. So I always left it at that – knowing I wouldn’t get anywhere with the competition.
I also like to say, I’m that girl who never ever win anything and is the unluckiest person in the world. In all my life, I never won a raffle, scratch cards, not even a lucky bag draw. Yeah, I very rarely entered into competition as I know I won’t win and I’m a fool for believing I would.
However, saying all that. When I saw this blog put forward for the award. I thought what the heck and decided to go for it. So I filled out the details and hope for the best. If I don’t win – or even get shortlisted, at least I can say I tried.
Now the next part is over to you lovely people. The public vote. Dun dun dun…. I feel awkward to ask this but would you like to vote for me at this year UK blog award.

I like to think I don’t conform to the normal look of the fashion industry; I mean for a starter I called myself a squash jelly bean. I’m 4ft 10, I still wear children shoes and my weight never seems to stay still. I’m not a tall skinny supermodel, far from it.
I’m just me, a girl who is your average joe. Someone who get lost in a sea of crowds. I think cause I’m your average joe who spilt tea down them or have two left feet, my readers can identify with me. I even had one reader who commented by saying, I’m very real with my writing and photos. I’m not perfect, but I’m just me.
A girl who has an out of control dress obsession, who rather spend money buying skincare then paying the bills and forever daydreaming about visiting the Maldives. More importantly, I’m a girl who is going through life and documenting it all; and sharing it with the world.
The actual voting part is really simple. All you do is fill out your name and email address, and also what category – fashion and beauty, submit and you are done. You will get a confirmation email but there be no one hassling you for a follow-up.
So yeah I entered the UK blog award 2018, I shall keep you all updated on my progress. In the meantime, I’ll be keeping my fingers and toes crossed. Wish me luck.
