Recently I went to a laughing yoga class. Seriously, it a real thing, it no laughing matter. Well, expect it is, as it’s designed to make you laugh – at lot!
Laughing yoga is not your typical yoga class either; there is more movement for a starter and also more interaction with people. There were no complicated stretches, and the class focuses more on breathing.
Laughing yoga is designed to help you use the diaphragm so you can do a really deep belly laugh and take in more oxygens.
It was a hoot and a half, seriously by the end of the class I had tears streaming down my face.
The class didn’t affect my Cataplexy either, this is when you laugh so hard your legs turn to jelly, and you collapse onto the floor. I had it since a child, and it can be an inconvenience.
Anyway, laughing yoga is supposed to have a wide range of health benefits. I’m sure you heard people say, ‘oh it good to laugh’, well it is as it really does benefit the mind and the body.
So here are 5 health benefits of laughing yoga and how doing this practice can improve more than your mood.
