One of the most frustrating things about being a blogger is that… well… sometimes there aren’t enough hours in the day. So I’m going to show my essential blogging tasks when there isn’t enough time to do everything.
There always this pressure where, if you don’t write a blog post then you will blog will suffer. All I can say about that, humbug. This is not true. Ok, I will admit, I did use to think that, and I would be putting that extra pressure on myself to write a blog, cause if I don’t, then my blog will indeed suffer.
I soon snapped out of thinking like that, and I eventually taught myself that my blog doesn’t suffer if I don’t update for one day. Another thing I had to snap myself out off, was to think I had to do everything that day and putting extra pressure on myself to complete it all. I would complain that it was so frustrating that there weren’t enough hours in the day to finish everything.
So if you are feeling a little stressed with not being able to complete everything and frustrated that there aren’t enough hours in the day. Trust me; you’re not alone.
Here are my blogging tasks when there isn’t enough time to do everything, and hopefully, it should show you how I changed my frame of mind. Where I’m no longer worried that I haven’t written a blog post and no longer frustrated at how there aren’t enough hours in a day.
Schedule pins on Tailwind
I love using Tailwind. It does help with my blog stats and it so freeing to schedule my pins and then not think about it again. Every week for an hour, I would spend some time and start planning and scheduling all my pins. However, you can spend 5 minutes a day working on it and even then you will see the benefits straight away.
Do a little behind scene work on the blog
This involves updating plugins, if you use Yoast – keep onto of the traffic lights system, check for broken links and images. Work that includes being on the blog, but isn’t something the visitors would necessarily see.
Keeping on top of other blogs
When having a spare 5 minutes, it can be nice to have a read a few of your favourite blogs. It can be relaxing to get lost in other bloggers thoughts.
Start planning and scheduling contents
It can be fun to start planning and scheduling contents, and it does help with writer block; especially when you are free for times, you got plenty of time to work on them.
Keep updated with your emails
The last thing you ever want to do is fall behind on your emails. When you got a spare 5 minutes try and organise your emails and priority which need the most attention first.
Keep on top of my affiliate brands offers
Every day my affiliate brands will email me detailing their latest offers. So It’s my job to keep on top of it and priority which one I should be writing about. I find this does help me with affiliate commission and keeps my readers informed on the latest deals. A guide on how to make money writing a blog.
That was my blogging tasks when there isn’t enough time to do everything. If anything, I hope you have learnt that is no need to put pressure on yourself and get stressed out. Blogging is meant to be fun, right?
