It wouldn’t be Christmas without filling the home with Baubles and pretty fairy lights. So let me show you my Christmas decorations.
When Richard and I moved into together and set up shop, a lot of our Christmas decorations were given to us by our friends and family. So lots of second hands Christmas decors, which for many years it suited us and we both thought it was a waste of money on buying new Christmas presents.
But once we brought our place, we decided that now would be the time to buy our own Christmas decorations and get our own tree.
So we did. We brought a lovely fake tree that comes with fake snow and pine cones. It’s all very charming, and I love my Christmas tree.
However, we brought – what I consider boring – Christmas decorations. Plain simple baubles in 3 different shade; Purple, gold and silver which was fine as we both didn’t want to go over the top. My thinking also at the time was that decorations are only for us and we felt at the time it was more important to use lights around the home, to help brighten up the place.
OK, so this was all five years ago now, time does fly. We have been big on Christmas lights and sticking with boring baubles.
But this year, we brought down the box of baubles, and I took one look and thought to myself, ‘you know what, cause be dealing with these baubles anymore’. So I decided to go and buy some new Christmas decorations.
I brought what I consider an array of real Christmassy trees decors, something that I thought would really make my tree pop.
The new Christmas decorations I brought them very cheaply from my local Wilkinson store. I was damn chuffed with Wilko as they had some nice little Christmas items. Highly recommend you take a look for Christmas items at your local Wilko.
Enough talk, let me show you what I mean when I’m talking about my Christmas decorations. Hopefully, it might inspire you with how you decorate your Christmas tree.
