While the stores are filled with winter woollies and thick coats, you might very well be dreaming of a little sun. Knowing what to pack for a winter sun holiday might feel like you’re navigating through a land field. Well, help is at hand and here what to pack for a winter sun holiday.
I can’t be the only one dreaming of a little sun, well a little warmer climate anyway. I said this before and I will say it again; I’m really am the Goldilocks when it comes to the weather. I will complain when it too hot, and now I’m back complaining that it now too cold. I’m never happy. I like my climate to be in the middle, warm enough to wear a t-shirt, but cool enough where I don’t burn like a roasted chicken.
Anyway, lately as a way to beat the January blues I’ve been daydreaming of travelling to some exotic warm places like the Maldives for example. I find myself watching travel vlog, reading travel blogs and even going as far to my nearest travel agent to pick up some broacher.
It only natural to feel this way, especially when winter is digging in its heels and their little sun and outside is full of grey skies. And summer is nearly 5-6 months away.
So the only solution is, to take a few days’ holiday and to go where there are blue sky and a warmer climate. It doesn’t necessarily have to be an exotic location, but a place to feel the heat of the sun on your face and somewhere you can forget all about winter.
But a dilemma, the stores haven’t forgotten winter and all stocks are filled with winter wear and woollies jumper. How to know what to pack for a winter sun holiday? Well, worry no more as help is at hand. Here’s a guide on what to pack for a winter sun holiday.
A Denim Jacket:
Something to wear of an evening when the sun temperature is a little cooler, trust me even in a warmer climate like Greece or Spain; it still can get pretty chilly in the evening.
Swimwear:
I often think winter sun holiday isn’t quite bikini season, but it enough to pack your speedo swimwear. I mean you would still be sipping cocktails next to a pool or meditating on a beach after all, so why not be stylish in your swimwear.
A Sun Hat:
Sound silly, to wear a sun hat when you want to go somewhere to feel the heat of the sun. But folks, even those you might very well be on a winter sun holiday; don’t forget about that UV ray. They still as powerful as they are during the summer months.
A Maxi/Midi Dress:
A little stylish choice if you are spending the day exploring the place, and not on the beach. It also nice to wear something quite floaty and airy when the sun is out.
Sun Tan Lotion:
I feel silly for adding this list, but winter sun UV ray is just as powerful as during the summer months. Most stores tend to stock this all year round.
A Beach Bag:
I always feel any holiday is never complete without a beach bag, that essentials items you can carry around for the day and it will have everything you will need.
Sandals:
Little roman sandals to wear on the beach – is much better than wearing your thick winter boots after all.
That was my list of items on what to pack for a winter sun holiday, do you have any to add?
