I was given this as a free sample to try out and I finally got round to reviewing this, I know I’m a little late to the party as well but it better be later then never.
Urban Veda is a natural skin care range using only natural ingredients. Here is what they say about it on their website:
The UrbanVeda range has been formulated using natural ingredients and the principles of Ayurveda in a relevant way for 21st century skin care complaints to ‘pollution proof’ skin leaving it less vulnerable to the environment.
We believe the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda fits in seamlessly into a modern 21st century lifestyle. But unlike so many things in the modern world, Ayurveda doesn’t believe just in the quick fix. Naturally formulated using Ayurvedic herbs, flowers and fruits, combined with multi-vitamins and clinically proven actives, UrbanVeda helps to maintain skin’s natural balance by infusing it with Omega-rich bio-oils, free radical-fighting antioxidants and vitality-boosting essential fatty acids.
The UrbanVeda ranges are designed to be suited to different skin care types which in the principles of Ayurvedic medicine are associated with ‘doshas’.
So you know that these products is full of goodness taking care of your skin, this is better then products that are full of nasties ingredients which cause further irritations. Personally I love their philosophy and wish more brand would aspire to this.
I was given the Purifying Body Wash + Lotion to try out – I start with the Body Wash first:
On the package is said to contain: Ayurvedic, Neem infused with bioactive botanicals of wild mint, Eucalyptus and witch hazel to detoxify congested skin. For direction on how to use this is to apply on damp skin and to massage it in circular motion.
I used this just after the shower and after I’ve been out all day so my skin was in need of a little TLC. The cream/formula was quite thicker then what I was expected and I should say it does smell amazing – minty and refreshing. This easily lathers up into a luxurious foam and I have to say it is the perfect way to refresh yourself after a long day. Afterward my skin certainly felt smoother and I notice a different straight away, I ever found myself stroking my arm as it felt so smooth and clean! What I mean by that is the dead skin cell I must have on the top layer of my skin seem to be washed away. I think this will be my new body wash to use from now on.
Now I’m moving onto the Body Lotion:
This work very much like the body lotion, use on damp skin so maybe after a bath or a shower and massage in circular motion. The cream/formula was thicker then the body lotion and once again it smelt so minty and refreshing. I didn’t notice a huge different to this as I used this a day after I used the body wash and my skin still felt smooth but I also can see this being my new favorite body lotion to use on a daily basis.
I heard lots of good reviews of Urban Veda and I’m pleased I was able to try this out. On their website it give you list of what plants and ingredients they used and the packaging also have a little rabbit symbol, so this is 100% natural. They are not also too expensive to buy so if you want to get someone some new beauty products this christmas, I recommend Urban Veda.
