We spent two nights in Bristol during the summer where we saw a large passenger ship and some zoo animals. Here is what we got up to when we had summer fun in Bristol.

Our original plan was to spend a few days at Weymouth as I love the beach there, but the weather got the better of us, and we were forced to change our plan. Instead, we decided to spend a few days in Bristol.

I was thinking of going to Bristol just before Covid hit, and when it did, my plan was put on hold until this summer when I just thought it was the right time to visit.

Why Bristol, I hear you ask? Well, I heard from several people that it was quite a cool place to visit. Yup, that was how people described Bristol to me; cool. I binged watch a ton of Bristol vlog, and yup came to that same conclusion, Bristol seemed like a cool place.

So yeah, anyway, we decided to spend a few days in Bristol. Like with a lot of our travelling, we didn’t really have a plan, just to see what there was to do.

Once there, we decided to visit SS Brunel Bristol, one of the last passenger steamships that crossed the Atlantic Ocean. We also visited Bristol Zoo, but I’ll talk more about the zoo in a bit.

SS Brunel ship was a passenger’s ship, and as we many ships of that era, it was split into classes, the lower class, then the 2nd and 1st classes. As you can see from the pictures, the lower class was in cramped conditions, and it was stomach-churning while walking around. We also visited a museum of Brunel, the inventor who built the ship.

The whole experience of the SS Brunel ship was also lovely as we were right by the harbour, and we just enjoyed chilling out by the water on a pleasant summer day.

On the second day, we visited Bristol Zoo as Richard has a thing for the zoo as it was only last year when visited London Zoo. I must admit that I do like visiting Zoos as well.

Anyway, I have rambled on enough. Let me show you the photos of my summer fun in Bristol.
