I made a new year resolution that I will get into more crafts, I’m a complete newbie/beginner to the world of crafts however I like the idea of creating something from starch  and seeing the finished products.
So with this I thought of starting my own Pinterest crafts board to help me with inspiration, ideas and help, I also been reading the crafts magazine Mollie Makes and I saw an advert on a crafts blog about a monthly box which will help me on getting started and to help me with inspirations.

Introducing Crafty Creatives a monthly subscriptions of all things you would need to get started, its £10 a month and you get a full box of goodies, this month theme was about stripes and spots so here is what I got in this month box:
  • Art card
  • CC kit
  • Roll of patterned washi tape
  • Bundle of spotty and stripey paper straws
  • 24 spotty cupcakes cases
  • Single spotty glass bead
  • 3m of stripey string
  • 20 striped resin beads
  • 50cm strip of green and white spotty pvc fabrics
  • Fat quarter of striped cotton fabric.
  • Pack of sticky foam dots
  • Sheet of stripey tissue paper.
So you do get a lot for your money and I think it a brilliant idea, there is a slight problem and its only a minor one. When I opened the box my first immediate thoughts was there no instruction, what am I suppose to do? I’m such a newbie that I was hoping for some guidance and tips on where to begin, I have ideas on what I could do but I need to then go and order some more items to get the stuff in the box to do what I want. For example I thought I could create a purse using the pvc fabrics but I would need to know how to sew a zip on and how to stitch it all together, it has left me very confused.
Since this box has arrived Crafty Creative has on the blog posted some ideas on what you can do but I’m still lost on what to do and even how to do it, I have no idea where to start.
So if you guys can point me to a really good crafts blog or website please do so in my comments, that would be really appreciated.

I will finished by saying, don’t let this put you off, Crafty Creative is a brilliant idea and if you have kids then it a great way to get being creative, I’m just more of a practical instruction person.

Thank you for taking the time to read this post. Stay tuned for more updates!
