I love visiting a vintage market place like Portobello Market, Notting Hill – however I often don’t seem to have the time to travel all the way up there so I tend to look online for all my vintage needs. Plus when I look on market stalls or in a shop, I always get frustrated on sizing issues as I’m either too short or got to much chest (if you know what I mean). Let be honest, half the time you always have to wait for the area to be clear before you can have a good ramages on the railing and the other half you often leave empty handed as you couldn’t find what you came to look for. So you can imagine that over the years of searching online I have found a lot of different boutiques which I come back to time and time again and always have great experience with. Want to experience these online vintage gem for yourself? Take a look at this:
Peekaboo have a concession in the giant Oxford Street Topshop which gives a good indication of their style: easy-to-wear vintage pieces such as this 70s floral print maxi dress.
Rokit‘s stock is huge and covers almost every era and style. It’s hard to argue with the choice available. My advice is search and you will be rewarded with treasures such as this 1950s yellow prom dress. While we at it, don’t also forget to check out the Rokit Recycled range: pieces that have been rescued and reworked to make them modern wardrobe suitable.
Beyond Retro is similar. If you’ve been to one of their stores down Brick Lane, you’ll know how you could spend hours searching through their stock – it’s the same thing online, trust me.
Love Miss Daisy . It has been one of my most-loved vintage shops for years. If you’re after a fab frock, dating from the 1940s or after an 80s denim jacket, there’s bound to be one here for you.
